Hello everyone, and welcome to Coffee and the Paper!
I am Susan, 24-years young and trying to make sense of this crazy world and live it up to the fullest.
Coffee and the Paper is a “forum” for discussion on my interests; most notably, but not limited to, food and music. But I’m not going to lie, this is probably going to be a place where I ramble about whatever I please. I hope you all feel free to join in the conversation!

Hi Susan! I just found your site via Abby’s blog.
Awesome, I’m also a psychology student (end of graduate studies by now) and music junkie! Great I’ve found your blog now!
Hello Susan,
This is Jasmin over at A Touch of RoJo and I just wanted to let you know that we are passing on the Stylish Blog Award to you. First, we hope you haven’t been nominated before, cuz that’d really suck. Secondly, if you haven’t then all you have to do is follow the directions listed on my site and you can post your award on your blog. I went through your site and I must say I enjoy reading your posts. The food looks comforting and delicious and it seems like you have a tranquil way about you which we like.
So keep up the good work and look forward to more recipes and posts.
Glad I found this one
Great blog;)
Loving the blog!
Just saying hi to another Pittsburgh blogger! Glad I found your blog =)
Your blog is really great! I am currently doing my PhD. in psychology, so we are kind of colleagues:)
Hi! I found your blog through Eden’s. I suffer from chronic pain as well (fibromyalgia). Always nice to find someone I can relate to
Thank you Melissa!
Though I don’t suffer from fibromyalgia per se, I’m positive we share many of the same struggles and lifestyle adaptations.
Hello Susan! I am a new reader. Love your blog so far – especially the gorgeous photo in your header! I look forward to reading your posts.
hi Susan!
I just found your blog and am so glad I did. I haven’t found many young women with blogs talking about chronic pain.
I am sure you’ve already been through a million tests and had people tell you what they think it could be but I wanted to comment because I have the same symptoms of extreme neck/back pain and general stiffness when I wake up. I was recently diagnosed with a form of arthritis (psoriatic, which is like rheumatoid). Have you considered that, or anklosing spondylitis? My bloodwork came out normal but when you dig “deeper” there are other indicators. My meds haven’t kicked in much, but I am glad to have a diagnosis. All of these forms of arthritis can inflame the spine, which leads to neck/back pain especially in the mornings. Just an idea you may want to consider if you hadn’t already.
Molly,
I just sent you an email!
Whoops…I thought I was commenting on the post where you address your pain from a few months ago… sorry!
Your blog looks nice!
The coffee name attracted me
