Music for your weekends:
Dirty Gold “California Sunrise”.
Check out more from this duo here. These two brothers sound like mellow California garage music with African influences. Perfect for attempting to hold onto the last vestiges of summer.

Another discovery this week was the jar of sunflower seed butter in my fridge. Things that sit behind the peanut butter jar tend to get “lost” in my refrigerator. I have priorities. This was kind of like finding your “cozy socks” in the back of your sock drawer. Does anyone get this analogy?*
Breakfast yesterday and every day this week.
Toast with sunbutter and apples.

*Speaking of analogies my professor used an awful one yesterday. Any science major will appreciate how bad this is: “Quantitative data is like apples and oranges. Qualitative data is like peeling the apples and oranges to discover what’s inside.” Uh, what?
**Another (possibly) bad analogy I heard was the apple guy at the farmer’s market telling me that honeycrisps are the “Cadillacs” of apples. I have no knowledge of cars, so I didn’t understand this. However, I’m pretty sure that I don’t see many Cadillacs around. Was he trying to say that honeycrisps are rare and almost obsolete?
Any discoveries or bad analogies you’d like to share?
Jam of the day: Dirty Gold “California Sunrise”

Like Sidney Crosby is the Ferrari of hockey players
Haha, when I used to work at a running store a guy would always try to sell Brooks by saying they were the “Mercedes of running shows”. I thought it was terrible, but also hilarious.
WHY did i not get the free dunkin coffee coup! WAH.
anyways i’ve been quite obsessed with sunflower seed butter lately! and i think it’s going to go just dandy with my first bowl of pumpkin oatmeal that i plan on consuming this weekend haha
Haha! Well I like to think of Honeycrisps as the creme de la creme of all apples, but I’m not much of a fan of Cadillacs, so…
I remember my first discovery of sunflower seed butter…mmm! Makes for the perfect dippage for carrot sticks too!
