Transition

The end of the semester signals a time for transition. It’s also signaling that it’s time to retire my usual weekday breakfast.

Banana chia protein oats with almond butter.

I seriously eat these guys almost every Monday-Friday. I’m a creature of habit, but I also know when it’s time to move on.

Yesterday I went out with a bang.

Yep, that’s a Costco jar of almond butter.

I have no clue what this means for next week! I’m a little scared. So tell me…

What is your favorite weekday breakfast right now?

Brain fuel

This hockey fan is currently in mourning. As far as the stages of grief go, I’ve skipped over denial, anger, and bargaining and moved straight to depression. I’m hoping acceptance will come with coffee and breakfast this morning. Jess, I know you are with me here.

Actually, I’m not that heartbroken. I think I have the looming exams and paper deadlines of next week to thank for that.

~

Here is some of the brain fuel that has been making frequent appearences this past week:

Lots of mangoes!

Refried beans with peppers, onions, and tomatoes.

Oven-baked sweet potatoes (plain and with coconut butter).

Kamut puffs with almond milk (and bananas).

Elise’s pumpkin banana bread (with sugar instead of stevia).

Today is my last day of classes for the sumester! Yikes!

Enjoy your Fridays!

Pity party

It was 73 degrees and sunny yesterday.

I started a new book.

All I want to do is be outside and read. Remind me what a final exam is again please?

I’m giving myself a thirty second pity-party and then I’m going to start my day.

I also want to blast this song with the windows rolled down.
